Meteorite, Henbury Crater, NT
SKU: 323
Size 2cm x 2cm
A small solid nugget of iron and nickel metals weighing 14 grams. Apparentely the meteorite exploded upon impact and smaller pieces of schrapnel like this were scattered everywhere. These specimans were recovered from the craters in 1932 , by members of the Kyancutta museum in south australia. This was part of an old collection we aquired some timae ago. Locality is now a conservation park and no collecting allowed, so specimans are very hard to come by.
