A high grade piece of hematite ore with one side covered with specular hematite crystals. A dozen or so specimans of this hematite and about the same of pyrolusite specimans were the only specimans recovered from this pit. This pit was finished approx 12 months ago and is now backfilled with waste, guaranteing that no further specimans will be recovered. Base has been cut to rid excess rock and aid display. Displays perfectly from the front with no saw cuts visible.
