A large fossil shell from the shale above the coal seams, in the now closed Leigh Creek coal mine.
Minor damage considering this is a larger shell. The speciman came from an old collection owned by a miner from Leigh Creek many years ago. The label stated that it came from Lobe B coal lense, and was collected in 1977,  47 years ago!  Mine has closed years ago and now impossible to get specimans from this mine.
