Drusy clear colemanite crystals cover the front side of this speciman. This borate mineral was the main source of borax until about the 1930's. There are small patches of damage as shown in the photos. These patches are where the speciman was in contact with the opposite side of the cavity. 
A good sized cabinet speciman from an old collection we purchased.
