A nice red , gemmy crystal of rhodonite from this famous occurance in the deeper levels of the north mine. These were collected back in the 1980's and the area is now mined out. There is a little bit of galena on the rear of the speciman as well as other smaller rhodonite crystals. The large crystal is 2.5 cm in length and 1- 1.5 cm in width ,and is partly terminated. Crystals of this size are not easy to come by these days. Speciman is photographed under a led lightsource.
