This piece was collected from the first lot of quartz crystals found in the Wizard pit, although on the next bench below where the first ones were collected. The quartz crystals are a bit larger than the first ones collected, and still show the reddish-brown colour caused by hematite. A lot of these specimans were damaged so not that many were collected at the time. Displays quite nicely.
Good speciman of this quartz occurance.
