Kolwezite on Cobaltoan Dolomite, Mashamba West Mine, Congo
SKU: 434
Size 6.5cm x 4cm
One quite large khaki coloured ball of Kolwezite sitting on a matrix of cobalt rich dolomite crystals and quartz crystals. The druzy quartz crystals underneath give the speciman a dirty look, but is an unusual combination. The pink dolomite crystals are more scattered and better formed than on a lot of other specimans. The drawcard is the one perfect sphere of the rare mineral kolwezite. Most kolwezite is blebs or ragged patches, not so much as spheres. Back of speciman has been cut to rid excess waste rock.
