The Kamphaugite on this speciman appears as a cream-tan coloured coating on the front of the speciman. Under magnification it looks a little like chalcedony. This is the Yttrium rich variety of kamphaugite. The size of this speciman and the coverage of this rare earth mineral makes it an above average speciman. Like a lot of rare minerals, its a ugly duckling that only a few can appreciate. Good speciman for the species collector. The last photo shows a small patch of Decrespignyite-(Y) on the back of the speciman. Locality is now cleaned out, and access doubtful
