Very vuggy piece of goethite showing bright, shiny coatings of goethite as the cavity linings. Shows some stalactitic form in the cavities as well. This was collected by a mine worker many decades ago before the pit was closed. I am only guessing , but I think in the 1970's. Old speciman not available very often. This pit closed in the early 1990's and is now backfilled with mill tailings from recent mining activity.
