This speciman didn't photograph very well, the front of the speciman is covered with iridescant coloured goethite, which is brighter than the photos. This opencut was on the western side of the range of hills and produced virtually no specimans at all. I was lucky enough to find one small patch of this goethite on my only visit to this pit, after a lot of walking and looking !  One of the smaller opencuts that was quickly worked out and closed. Back of the speciman has been cut to rid excess matrix, but saw cut not visible from front.
