Stalactites of goethite recovered from a open cavity during mining in 1995. All stalactites were roughly this size and many were broken off the ceiling of the cavity by blasting. Mine closed in 1997 and area is completely mined out.  Iron Princess was one of the opencuts at Iron Knob, only a couple of km north of the famous Iron Monarch pit.
