Size 5cm x 5cm

A block of apatite rich hematite ore, with cavities on all sides. These cavities under magnification contain very nice bladed hematite crystals, sometimes sitting on flat hexagonal crystals of white

fluor-apatite. The cavities in this ore rarely exceeded 20 mm across, but all had hematite and fluor-apatite crystals growing in them. Most were better suited as micromounts and larger specimans were rare. Very hard to get a decent photo of this speciman, better in person.
