Coronadinite, MMM Mine, Broken Hill, NSW
SKU: 479
Size 6cm x 4.5cm
Coronadinite is a lead manganese oxide mineral and was quite common in the higher levels of the mines in the early days of mining. These higher levels have long since been mined out many years ago. This speciman shows a nice "bubbly" like growth of coronadinite. It came from the last of the opencut operations, some 25 odd years ago now.
