Thumbnail sized speciman of dark blue azurite crystals, with a little cerussite present as well. The azurites are very well formed crystals with no or very little damage, and are great under magnification.
From one of the opencuts, but can't be sure what one. Good azurite specimans are much sought after from broken hill these days, as there wern't really very many found in the last of the opencut mining.  This is a nice speciman of azurite, just a pity it wasn't fist sized !!
